After the contract was signed on 15.09.2010, the project commenced on 20.09.2010. Under the project, for Ereğli Transfer Station excavation and filling, reinforced concrete platforms, 2 units of bunkers, site concrete peripheral fence, PTL (power transmission line), construction and concreting of the PTL, access road and related works have been successfully completed and put into service.
Upon the startup of Ereğli transfer station, solid wastes collected in Ereğli Municipality territories, as well as those of any other nearby districts and sub-districts, have started being taken to the Regular Storage Site.
Between km 0+00 and 0 + 510 the works entailing rock fill/riprap stone fill and soil fill, spreading, watering and compaction has been completed at the regular storage site. A stormwater line using DN 500 mm HDPE pipe has been laid. And, between Km 0+00 and 0+330 geotextile + membrane + geotextile insulation layers has been coated.
Provisional acceptance operations were successfully completed and the project was delivered to Zonguldak Solid Waste Union on 15.07.2011.
