In a new study conducted in the UK, warned that microplastic pollution in the oceans has joined the food chain through seafood such as oysters and mussels, and could lead to deadly epidemics similar to the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic that killed about 780,000 people in the world. However, scientists explained that the presence of pathogens (viruses and bacteria) on the surface of plastic waste in the oceans and seas is increasing day by day.In the research conducted by the Institute of Global Systems of the University of Exeter in England, it was stated that microplastic pollution in the sea and oceans can lead to fatal outbreaks similar to the new type of corona virus (Covid-19).
