Closure of non-compliance landfills and dumpsites in east regions
Rep.of North Macedonia - Ministry of Finance - Central Financing and Contracting Department (cfcd)
Within the scope of improvement of irregular waste storage and dump sites in Macedonia East (Lot1) region:
• At least three (3) unsuitable waste landfills and small dumpsites, excavation of waste and removal of excavation waste in eastern regions
• Reshaping and constructing at least four (4) old landfills in the East Region and an overhead closure system, including leachate and gas collection systems where necessary;
• Reshaping of at least five (5) old landfill sites in the Eastern Region and construction of drainage to collect leachate when necessary. Storage areas will not be closed, but will remain operational until the completion of the regional waste management center.
