The project can be shortly described as rehabilitation of a total of 7 units of garbage disposal sites through EU Grant funding in the provincial center of Kütahya as well as in its districts (Tavşanlı, Emet, Aslanpa, Altıntaş). The following items of Works have been successfully completed: excavation, transport, spreading and compaction of garbage; filtering and drainage of depot / storage gas with pipes from 8 points, laying of support layer and gas drainage layer, impermeability layer clay construction, covering the surface with soil; landscaping works, wire fencing, construction of drainage canals, clearing lake surface areas, construction of entrance ramps and tests and experiments in connection with any works at laboratory. Acceptance was made in January 2010 and the sites which have been rehabilitated have been handed over to the municipalities.
