The existing WWTP has been completed in 2013 for the design Stage 1 at a nominal design capacity of 10,750 P.E. WWTP will be upgraded and plant extension under Stage 2 for the final design capacity of or 21,500 P.E. at 2,694 m³/d.
The existing WWTP has been completed for the conventional activated sludge wastewater treatment process (CAS) with advanced BNR (incl. EBPR + CPR) for tertiary wastewater treatment with extended aeration for partial, simultaneous sludge stabilization.
Under Stage 1 the BNR process includes the following main treatment steps, i.e.:
The WWTP Units;
1.Inlet facilities of the WWTP (Inlet Chamber, Fine Screens and Grit/Grease Chamber, Septic Acceptance Station)
2. Biological Treatment (Bioreactor, Aeration System, Final Clarifier, Distribution Chambers, Anoxic/anaerobic Reactors, Phosphorus precipitation and dosing facilities, Return activated sludge Pumping Station, Process control of Wastewater Treatment)
3. Sludge Treatment (Gravity WAS Thickener, Raw sludge Pumping Station, Anaerobic Sludge Digestion, Digester gas system and Gas Holder, Digester gas reuse, CHP, Sludge Dewatering)
4. Tertiary Treatment (TSE Filtration, TSE Disinfection, TSE Pumping Station)
5. Odour Control
6. Central and Auxiliary Facilities (Emergency Generator, Stormwater Drainage)
7. Electrical and I&C Equipment (Electrical supply and Loads, Process Control Equipment)
Under Stage 2 (subject to contract) the design capacity of the existing WWTP shall be extended from 10,750 P.E. up to 21,500 P.E.
