The Works cover the following main components:
1. Four main Landfill Cells and two small Landfill Cells over about 40% of the allocated landfill area at north-west end of the landfill area, closest to the associated support facilities. Refer Drawing No. LF01:01 (Cells I – IV, XII, XIV).
2. Leachate treatment system – collection, piping, pumping and treatment.
3. Landfill gas extraction, regulation, pumping, gas torch, treatment, and Gas Motor, distribution system to public power grid, internal heating system to all buildings.
4. Waste sorting and recycling area, including roofed area .
5. Weigh Bridge and Registration Office
6. Buildings: Administration Building, Registration Office including Office for Guard, Staff Building, Workshop including vehicle washing facility, Boiler Building and Power Station.
7. Internal infrastructure: Roads, Car Parks, Water Supply, Technical Water, Wastewater Collection, Stormwater Drainage (including open drains around the landfill area to northeast, southeast and south west), Electric Power, Gas, Heating distribution, Telecom.
8. Site access road and bridge from public highway.
9. Other facilities: Access Gate and Information Board, Fuel Tank, Vehicle Flushing facility (suitable for trucks washing down), Concrete External Security Fence, Landscaping, CCTV Security System, Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Systems, Lifting and Walkway facilities.
