Brazil Mining Dam Collapse

From the news obtain from Brazilian Press, because of the collapse of Mining Waste Dam at Friday at Brumadinho city located at southwest of Minas Gerais State, number of persons who lost their life increase to 58 and the number of lost persons is stated as 305.

Fire Fighting Rescue Teams had reached a bus at waste dam, as the rescue operations continues all night long. No information is given about the number of persons exist in the bus.



The Minas Gerais Civil Defence Organization Spokesman said that; ‘’ They are trying to find live persons place and to reach them.’’



It is stated that, because of the collapse of waste dam at Brumadinho city about 3 thousand person have been evacuated

The search and rescue works had been postponed for a while because of the damage risk of another dam located near the collapsed dam owned by the same firm Mining cooperation Vale SA.



It is stated that the dam collapsed at lunch time and the knowledge shared was the rescue teams could not reached the dining hall sink into mud already



From the information taken from Vale SA, the wastes had been reached to Vila Ferteco affiliated to Brudmadinho city, some parts of the city had been evacuated and firefighting rescue teams works continues at land and from the air.
