The term for the "Rehabilitation of Old Dumpsite in Balıkesir" Project, which was awarded by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization IPA Department, was 120 days and the project has been completed on 04.11.2016 with temporary acceptance transactions.
Within the scope of the project: the waste in the dumpsite has been reformed, the slopes have been arranged and covered with natural clay. The drainage of gases has been achieved by opening gas manholes. The gas discharge lines have been connected to the existing incineration system. Further, the semi-fluid sewage sludge and chicken farm wastes located in some part of the field have been sterilized with lime and their stabilization has been achieved. The whole field has been planted and saved to nature.
