Emet Solid Waste Landfill Area Remaining Works completion have been finished to serve Eti Mine Works General Directorate-Emet Boran Subdistrict Directorate. By this means- solid waste has been isolated from the natural environment.
Within the scope of the project, the storage area surfaces have been made suitable for the laying of isolation materials. 50 cm of natural clay was applied at the base, while drainage composite, geomembrane, geotextile and L-GCL materials were used as isolating materials for floors and side slopes. In addition, approximately 1 km of asphalt paved road was constructed.
Reinforced geomat installation was provided above the interception channel around the second Waste Dam. To prevent erosion around storage area geomat have been laid.
The provisional acceptance of the project was made on 28.09.2018.
